Monumental site-specific audiovisual light installation.

Born from silence, shaped by fire and time — Lithogenesis opens the ancient rock and allows it to speak of its own becoming.

Molten matter cools into stone. Pressure condenses into crystalline structure. Tectonic movement shifts entire masses. Glacial forces carve and polish the surface across millennia, forming the landscape we encounter today.

Through light and immersive sound, these processes become perceptible. What seems immovable reveals itself as transformation — matter in slow motion, shaped by forces far beyond human scale.

Originally conceived for the monumental coastal formation on Smögen, the work later extended across additional rock bodies on the island — allowing the same visual language to resonate through multiple geological forms.

Lithogenesis unfolds as a meditation on deep time — elemental, immersive, and anchored in the physical presence of the site.
