CORAL GHOSTS

Immersive Audiovisual Installation on Ocean Fragility and Beauty

Coral Ghosts is an immersive audiovisual installation that conjures the haunting beauty of an underwater coral reef.

Through 360-degree video projections, the reef comes to life at night—bathed in dynamic, flowing visuals that envelop viewers in an ethereal, otherworldly seascape.

The work celebrates the vibrant ecosystems of our oceans while serving as a poignant reminder of their fragility and silent decline, driven by human activity and climate change.

At its center stands a sculptural structure composed of approximately 300 kg of discarded ghost nets, symbolizing the invisible but devastating impact of ocean waste on marine life.

Coral Ghosts invites visitors to reflect on our deep dependence on healthy ecosystems and the urgent need to protect them. It inspires us to imagine a future in which the beauty and biodiversity of our oceans are preserved—for the generations yet to come.
