ECHOES OF ICE

Immersive Audiovisual Light Installation on Glaciers

Echoes of Ice is an immersive audiovisual light installation exploring glaciers as living bodies — shaped by time, pressure, and climate.

Inspired by a field journey to the Glacier de Bionnassay near Saint-Gervais/Mont Blanc, the project translates the material presence of ice into a sculptural and visual experience. Real glacier textures merge with abstract light and movement, revealing the inner dynamics of frozen landscapes.

At the center of the work stands a sculptural form inspired by seracs — monumental, fractured ice towers formed by tension and gravity. Layered, crystalline surfaces become a luminous body, continuously shifting between solidity and dissolution.
